School Psychologist – High School
Minimum Qualifications:
- NYS Certification as a School Psychologist or equivalent
- Experience working with students from various demographic groups
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide psychological services to schools, including psychoeducational evaluation, counseling, and consulting to assist in meeting the social, emotional, and educational needs of students in regular and special education programs being serviced by the Albion Central School District.
- Administer and interpret psychological assessments of students;
- Prepare recommendations regarding the evaluation and services for students;
- Consult with teachers, administrators, specialists, agency and district personnel, and parents;
- Counsel students; coordinate behavior management programs;
- Provide psycho-educational assessments of students for districts and programs and participate in resulting Individual Educational Program (IEP) meetings;
- Interpret psycho-educational assessment results;
- Develop student goals and objectives;
- Facilitate IEP meetings, as required;
- Provide written reports analyzing, interpreting, and summarizing test results, observations and information from school personnel, students and parents;
- Act as liaison between public and private agencies and county programs;
- Develop, coordinate and provide training to staff, parents, agency and district personnel;
- Maintain professional competencies in areas of responsibility;
- Maintain contact with and participate in professional job-related organizations and serve as a liaison to professional groups;
- Perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- NYS Certification as a School Psychologist or equivalent
- Experience working with students from various demographic groups

- Resume
- Fingerprint clearance through NYSED TEACH; Drug Testing; current TB test; current Physical (less than one year old) – all completed upon being hired for employment
Terms of Employment: 10-month year; up to 10 additional summer days at per diem rate; salary to be established by the Board of Education; follows ATA contract (Step 1 - $49,037-$55,000)
